    WOW! Anna is a brave chick! She’s beautiful and confident and has a great spirit! I remember seeing the original video and thinking how amazing she is for having the guts to get up in front of her peers–high school can be BRUTAL for so-called “normal” people–and addressing this condition.

    She is the embodiment of the “Bald is Beautiful” slogan. GO ANNA!

    I’m a guy with alopecia universalis, I’ve had it since I was about 8. I’m now 31 and thinking back, I never would have had the courage to do something like that. Good on you for handling it so well. You’re an inspiration for a lot of people out there who aren’t capable of being as brave and confident as you are.

    @XxGlitterenIrishxX -hello i am 25 yrs old and i also have alopecia, i know it is hard, but i just want to let you know that you are not the only one, it is tough, people staring and talking about our condition, but at the end of the day, it is up to us to be happy with who we are. God bless you.

  27. Cr4Lx says:

    @99knight Indeed, I am in a similair situation, and that is indeed great advice. To all the people who got it.. dont get distracted too much by it. Like keep checking in the mirror, keep touching it, try to hide it some way or another. People that act mean are just insecure of themselves, which means that if they got what we have they couldn’t survive for 1 day. My biggest relief ( not EXACTLY a relief ) Is indeed that other people got it way worse. So keep your head up and stay nice to people!!

  28. 99knight says:

    @XxGlitterenIrishxX I have alopecia since i was 7, now I turned 24…. I suffered so much, mentally and physically. I was always depressed, but later on my life I saw people with really really horrible skin diseases, and many other, and it hit, Why am I so depressed on this little thing, when there are other people who are suffering more then me.

    just keep on hanging and be strong! it will fix soon dont worry there are many people out here who have it

  29. UndercoverCracker says:

    @MrJonezy79 WTF…You must be Muslim.

  33. MrJonezy79 says:

  38. MrJonezy79 says:

    @LanyaKalle ..no problem.. and like i say, i’m confident u’ll be cured very soon. medical science is improving dramatically.. i read that a genetics expert who specializes in alopecia has found the genetic factors that trigger alopecia.. they are already working on medicines, now that they can pin point the problem.. but try chinese herbs as well, you never know. it has helped many people, and positive news for you is that your alopecia hasn’t spread all over, and seems to have calmed down.

  39. LanyaKalle says:

    @MrJonezy79 thx

  40. MrJonezy79 says:

    @LanyaKalle ..you poor thing.. im so sorry. this isnt fair at all.. a cure is on its way i read.. you wont have it much longer hopefully.. look at this on youtube- “alopeciatodaytonight” you may benefit.. you can get chinese sheng fa tablets for alopecia on ebay for cheap prices.. supposed to really help alopecia.. good luck.

    @BSChargeX —- The problem with having no hair on the body means no eyelashes. The dirt and dust get into the eyes casing them to itch, burn, and become blood shot red, and can easily be scratched by unknown particles . Not such a fun thing! No hair in the nostrils can cause some of the same issues which means lots of sneezing.

    @daynejthomas im just wondering really, i think i have alopecia on my scalp, but i mean on the rest of you’r body, is it really that big of a deal or am i missing something? i wouldnt mind if i had it on my body that much :o

  46. BrandNewLiam says:

    @gemarrrrrrr
    I too had alopecia when I was fifteen. At first I had several small spots that eventually spread. Soon, I had about 60% hair loss on my scalp. I decided to shave it all off. It was a shock at first, but I found that the students at my school were very accepting once I explained to them what alopecia was and how it’s caused And the best thing I did to help me get through this was to not try to hide it. Be proud of yourself and be open about it. If you have any questions ask me

  47. domcheck2 says:

    My son had alopecia and I Have used wild oil of oregano and it has helped the hair grew back…

  48. jessicakennon says:

    @xhemexx What are you talking about? That is extremely judgmental of you just by reading a short sentence of mine. I could care less what someone looks like, if they are good people and honest than I would love being friends with them. I never would make fun of bald people why would I. My uncle was bald for a while, who later died of cancer. I don’t see why anyone would hate a person because they are bald.

  49. xhemexx says:

    @jessicakennon Yewah but what do ypu care , my friend is going bald and all he get5s is criticesm and being put ti8me after time ofer something he can’t conrrol!! ou ALL hate and make fun of bald people!! Don’t tel;l me this shit when YOU yourself hate bald people yopurself. You don’t care how they feel!

  50. jessicakennon says:

    @xhemexx These people do have a disease….
