To know if you are an eligible candidate for hair restoration you would need to see a hair restoration specialist. From the website I found there is no minimum age for treatment, however it does say that most are over 21. Hair Restoration generally costs between $4000 and $5000 but can get as expensive as $12000 depending on the doctor, and how much you are getting to restored. The website I found mentioned that grafts cost between $3-$10 per graft but the number of hairs a doctor puts in per graft can very so it suggested seeing a doctor and asking him/her about it. If I was doing hair restoration I would see a few different doctors and weigh the pros/cons of each one to make your best decision. Who knows you may be able to mention the different prices to each doctor to see if you can get your favorite to lower his/her price!
There are several steps you can take to prevent hair loss and there is more than one cause of it. Stress, bad diet and even smoking all contribute to hair loss.
there are some vitamins or hair supplements which you can take but you should take other steps as well t get the maximum benefit out of them.
1/ Check your diet. if your diet is poor in protein and vitamins your hair is going to suffer. By having a diet rich in vegetables and proteins you will be helping your hair enormously. Especially since your hair is 95% protein.
2/ Consider taking hair supplements or hair growth pills. They contain DHT blockers ( DHT is the primary cause of hair loss) and vitamins and proteins for your hair to grow.
3/ If you are suffering from stress this can cause hair loss. The most obvious sign it is stress related is that you suddenly start suffering large amounts of hair loss.
3/ Make sure you are using a pH neutral shampoo. that is ideally between 5.5 and 8.5 but if you are suffering hair loss use a hair loss shampoo which will contain vitamins and minerals for you hair.
Vitamins and shampoos do help. If you smoke or drink alcohol consider cutting back or stopping until you you have your hair loss under control. They are both contributing factors.
