I’m 17 years old girl, and i”ve been losing a lot of hair in the last year. My hair is quite long. I was just wondering if cutting my hair shorter would reduce my hair loss?
Thanks in advance.

no itll just thin it out, just tell the person cutting your hair that you want your hair to look thicker
No. Length of hair has nothing to do with hair loss.
Hello,
Unfortunately, cutting your hair won’t directly cause the loss itself to stop; what is more important right now is to find out why exactly you are losing it. Have you been under any particularly acute stress lately? Does hair loss run in your family? Any major changes in diet? There are any number of causes for hair loss, both permanent and temporary, and it’s important to isolate the cause(s) in your case. Before doing anything else (or spending money for that matter), I’d suggest scheduling a free consultation with a Bosley physician at one of the many regional offices (all listed on our website).
Our people are hair loss experts who can diagnose the specific cause of your case & recommend appropriate treatment options, if necessary. Best of all, the consults are conducted free of charge so at the very least you receive the information you need to move forward in addressing your problem without having to spend a dime for it. If you have a specific question in the meantime, you can send it to our blog and one of our people will answer it. Best of luck to you
