@karan6 Thank you for your comment. The best protection against future hair loss are non-invasive FDA-approved medical treatments. The earlier you start, the better your chances of keeping your hair. :-)

@connecttro I used rogaine AND a laser comb for about 8 straight months. The result I got was I had less hair fall out. But as far as regrowing new hair I saw nothing. I wanted to do a whole year but it is a serious commitment!

@james1418 Thank you for your comment. We wish you good luck with your upcoming hair transplant procedure. Are you having a linear or FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction/NeoGraft)-style harvest? –Dr. B.

  8. alanbauman says:

@bradwatson7324 Brad, you have it exactly right. Non-invasive treatments are designed to keep the hair you have. Side-effects are extremely rare, and reversible if they occur. –Dr. B.

  9. bradwatson7324 says:

All of these treatments are b.s. for hair REGROWTH. I use Propecia (and have been for about 10 years) and it MAINTAINS wonderfully the hair I have. There are no side-effects. I wish I had started it earlier than I did, but I was under a false impression that it caused impotence. Propecia is pricey and that’s the only thing negative I can say about it.

  10. james1418 says:

I’m planning to have my hair transplant by the end of the year.I’m only 17.

  13. alanbauman says:

When you’re groggy and look in the mirror, and don’t recognize the guy staring back at you, it’s more than time to take some action. That’s what happened to me, attractiveness was just drivel.

I wanted to see some semblance of the me I grew up with, and I am happy with the result

  36. sleestack808 says:

  37. quincee33 says:

  38. infections says:

I just had a procedure at medical hair restoration yesterday morning. Im 25 and my hair was thinning front to back..it was noticeable to me and lots of people around me. I see it as, if i do nothing..I WILL go bald (family history) at least I did something and I do believe it will work. If I begin to bald once again in 10 or 15 years, it will be easier to accept. All the while..Im sitting here with copper peptide rags stuck on my head :)
