Do vitamins work, especially ones for promoting healthier hair?

Question by Volleyballgirl87: Do vitamins work, especially ones for promoting healthier hair?
I read somewhere that hair vitamins, such as hairtopia, which says to give healthier, longer hair over time, does not work because biotin and amino acids get excreted out anyway. Therefore, it doesn’t work. However, I have read so many reviews for Hairtopia on many different sites saying that after they started taking the pills for a while, their hair was healthier and stronger. Who is right?!

and also, if this all does work, would Hair Skin and Nails be just as effective?
