Does anyone know when Propecia (the hair-loss prevention pill) will be available in generic form?

I think the patent expires soon but can’t find any information as to when exactly. There is a lot of fake stuff out there – but at about $2 per pill, a generic form would be nice. I believe its made right now by Merck.
Thanks.

The generic version of Propecia is alredy out, I forgot the name of it but I’ll post it in just a moment as soon as I find out.

Ok, got it, I believe it’s called Finax.

My husband has been ordering the generic version finasteride for years from http://www.rxmex.net . It is authentic, still in blister packs and manufacturers name and expiration dates. You will not get counterfeit meds here. I think he gets around 90 pills for $70 and it is working GREAT!
