    @jmaceh1114 – The same results can be achieved by keeping the hair stretched. You can keep the hair stretched by banding, braid outs and twist outs.

    What kind of straightening method did you use . a hot comb or a flat iron

  4. Brittanynic16 says:

    No I did not use wild growth oil to make it grow. Tried it before and it was okay but my hair grows on its own.

    @LemonLiime14 – Lets see… in 7 years …it started at shoulder length relaxed then grew it to BSL. Then I cut it to one inch to go natural. Grew my natural hair to BSL. Tried to texturize it and it broke off to shoulder length. Tranistioned with the keratin to BSL (at the end of transition). Transitioned from the keratin last year to thermalaxing all while maintaining BSL hair. This video still include the BKT hair (straight ends). Now I am fully thermalaxed and ready to grow beyond.

    @Brittanynic16 Oh how short was it before ? & did you use the wild growth oil to make it grow ?

  7. Brittanynic16 says:

    @LemonLiime14 – No. This length only took 2.

    Read below first. My question Brittany is I work out twice a week. Afterward my crown is so coarse and poofed. I don’t want to wash to often cuz I hear thats bad. Should I jus hit the middle with the heat a bit. How often do u flatiron. I want to heat train also. Please answer. I want bra length so bad.

    Hi Brittany. Im natural 1yr now. Im at collar bone length. My hair is very coarse. I prefer wearing my hair straight too. My hair is extra coarse and dense in the middle. It is the shortest area of my head. About 5inches. I think it’s because that area gets so tangly cuz it’s so coarse. I go to the beauty shop every 2wks and I dont like how she detangles my hair. I tell her all the time she gotta start from the tip and work down to the scalp. She jus says oh your not losing hair.

    You have beautiful hair. I agree with what u are saying, but I already have perm in my hair. I really want to ease off the chemicals but, I’m too afraid to cut the perm out. And isn’t that what I’m going to HAVE to do? Can u tell me if there is a better way to ease off putting perm in my hair without chopping it all off?

    i right right knots and tangles used to get me all the time, but i use olive oil to get them out and use my fingers and use twists to reduce breakage and knots and so far no problems

    There is a lot of truth to what you say. However, I don’t know if it is enough to make me want to permanently loose my beautiful curls. I love my hair and I feel completely unique having it!! Thank you anyway for your awesome insight:-)

    Your hair is beautiful ……. you keep it up !

    The first thing you know when you have a natural is to de tangle but the longest hair I’ve seen on youtube was nautal hair….

    @SuperModel89 – I’ve grown my afro to bra strap length so I am glad you are able to get growth too. I am sure you will be there in no time. Now, I am not a afraid to do anything to my hair, that includes using heat, because I understand it and understand how to achieve the results I want. I understand I don’t have to be afraid of styling my hair because I have “knowledge of taking care of my hair.” Because of that I am truly free to love all the versatility my hair offers.

  17. Brittanynic16 says:

    @TheRachellRae – I wash my hair with shampoo every 2 weeks sometimes once a week.

  18. TheRachellRae says:

    im not sure if someone ask this question already, i haven’t went through all the comments but how often do you wash your hair?

  19. SuperModel89 says:

    I understand your point, but do you care about your natural curl pattern?? I have grown to love my spirally head full of curls and i’m sorry flat irons rob them of their beauty lol. I hate heat damaged hair!
    I like your theory though, if i did this to my hair all the time it would be on the floor lol, i think my hair is too fine for that much heat. But its possible to retain length with no probs, i achieved my 6 inches last year so i think its about your knowledge in taking care of your hair ;)

    Im actually thinking about tryin the B K T for the fist time ..My question is how much should I pay for the product itself, and/or would I need a starter kit? I Watched your touch up videos jus today .. Any other tips I should know when first starting besides what was mentioned in the video??

  21. Brittanynic16 says:

    @YoungaDonLikeRosee – Yes, I have a flat ironing video.

  22. YoungaDonLikeRosee says:

    Diid You Use Straightener’s Too Straighten Your Hair?

  23. Brittanynic16 says:

    @123oroma – Really? A lot of people found value in what I had to say.

  24. Brittanynic16 says:

    @genejaytre – Yes, I either use Sabino or I have a Mane n’Tail protectent.

  25. Brittanynic16 says:

    @indegenous78 – It depends on how short the hair is. If its very short then detangling shouldn’t be much of an issue. Just take care. Once it starts to get longer make sure it dries stretched. The hair does not have to be straight. It just has to be stretched out so that the hair does not tangle on itself. Depending on the hair style you can do it by dry wrapping, blow drying, twist outs, braid outs, banding and so on.
