In June of 2006 I, at age 40, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. What followed was a series of surgeries, and finally Chemo. In August of 2006, I had my last treatment. The wait began, when would I grow hair? I surfed the web, and could not find much on the subject. So, now it is my wish to show just how much hair you grow after chemo. This photo log follows my growth from Oct. 13, 2006….no hair, to Dec. 30, 3006….

I hope you feel better and the radiation goes well, I recommend biotin it’s a vitamin for hair growth and healthy skin and nails, the dermatalogist recommended it to me, age 20

Been there and done that and remembers the first time I heard I would lose my hair that I cried back in 2008 but when I was done of chemo the hair came back darker, thicker and lots of curls that are called chemo curls and I loved them. My hair is gone again as the breast cancer spread to my lungs I have one more chemo to do on Jan 12th-2011 and my hair has already started to grow I tell everyone I am a chia plant..lol..with little fine hair growing.Cannot wait for the curls again.
This was great!!! Just finished my last day of chemo today!!! I am so excited for the upcoming hair growth!
You look great and I hope you continue to do well. Your video helped me a lot. I did several rounds of AmBisome, an antifungal drug that saved my life, but has some vicious side effects. I was fortunate to come away with no long-term damage, but it sure did a number on my formerly thick, pretty hair. It’s nice to think that it’ll probably come back. I have a lot of facial reconstruction ahead of me from my illness, and I look forward to looking like myself again. May God bless everyone.
You are so brave!

What chemotherapy did you have?
Wait, this was all only through a 2 month period?? That makes me feel quite a bit better! I’m 15 and I just finished chemo on Friday (YAY!) and as I was watching this video I was thinking it was over a 6 month period or so, until I read the description! I can’t wait to get my hair back!!!!

Have a thin layer but wishing it would thicken…like now. Will have to be patient and at least i now know time span. Roll on no more hats!!!!
