hair thinning on top with very oily scalp?

hi my hair has been thinning a little bit on top and i have very oily hair that needs washed once or twice a day.

all started a about 8 or 9 months ago.

what can be the cause and what treatment should i take and will lost hair regrow its been months without regrowth

also who do i see about hairloss a dermatologist or a trichologist ?

My sister is a beautician and she recommends using Nioxin–80% of people showed hair growth–even if it is totally gone.
