How do I keep my hair from thinning and bring back some of the strength and health to it?

When I was young, I had beautiful, strong THICK hair. Im now 23 & my hair is thinning more & more everyday. I lose a handful everytime I shower & its been like this for years. I ran my fingers through my hair & showed my doctor how much I lose and he said that its normal to lose so much when I have so much since hair constantly regrows but I can tell its thinner. My hairs very long. I have been dyeing my hair for 10 years, which I will not stop (I need to cover my stray gray hairs) & I know dyeing hair is unhealthy but is there ANYTHING I can do to keep it from falling out & bring back some strength & health to my hair? Are there any vitamins, treatments or anything other than a hair regrowth system to keep the hair I do have from getting any thinner? Im a healthy person so I know it isnt due to health problems, maybe a lack of vitamins or minerals? Please give any suggestions you have. Im down to try anything. I try not to wear it up, I comb it instead of brushing it & use Pantene.

My best friend was having the same problem so she started taking pregnancy vitamins and it grew back in thick and shiny. It was amazing. BTW, she wasn’t pregnant.
