follow me on twitter for Daily Hair tips! www.twitter.com/cosmochica24 So im a hairstylist and i also have LONG hair! ironic…i know. So i am going to share my tips on how to grow you hair and keep it healthy so you can grow it long. The number 1 thing to remember is PATIENCE!!! Products mentioned: Nexus Shampoo Dualiste Paul Mitchell Deep conditioner Pureology Hydracure CHI Silk Infusion *BIG SEXY Super smooth (heat protecting spray)not mentioned AVOID: products with SODIUM anything! products with Alcohols! (ie Suave, White Rain, Herbal Essenses, Pantene, Garnier Fructis, Aussie) i know these are pretty popular but most carry lots of waxes to make hair feel soft but that only COATS hair, not improves it. ALWAYS look at what your putting in your hair.

Hey, so I cant afford to buy professional shampoo and conditioner, but I also dont want my hair to feel like straw anymore! I know a lot of drug store brands are bad, but what do you suggest?

  6. cosmochica24 says:

@laurenoliver23 i havent heard of that line but i agree that what you need is an intense moisture repair treatment once a week and a good shampoo/cond to go along with that. id suggest Paul Mitchell’s New Awapuhi line that repairs hair up to 75% and their keratin treatment deep conditioner along with their 10min keratin treatment oil.

I have extremely dry hair (feels like straw) and another hairstylist on youtube suggested the Alterna TEN shampoo & hair masque once a week to restore elasticity. Have you heard about this line?

@TheChaiTeaLatte id recomend something light for your hair since your hair is fine. you want a good strengthening shampoo. Try Nexus or Pureology, S Factor or a KPak just make sure its for fine hair. L’oreal’s “jelly” is just coating your hair not actualy helping it get stronger.

when i was in beauty school we did a test on panteen shampoo and you could see all the beaded wax it was gross. Dont be fooled by your hair being soft and shiny thats great but it just coats your hair it dosent go into the spine of your hair so its not actually helping your hair.

hi, my shampoo is l’oreal elseve for dry hair (the one with royal jelly in it) because I have dry ends. does this shampoo help my hair condition? also, my hair is thin so would you recommend me using this? I also used herbal essences before, but I stopped since my thin hair was looking even more thin and no volume at all. but I still use its conditioner since I think it’ll be a waste if I throw the whole big bottle. what would you recommend? thanks!

i’ll come back to comment so i can tell every one my results. . cuz i have been trying to grow my hair long but it has split ends xD . . my hair is like just an inch under my shoulders soooo im definatly going to try it xD

Fish oil is good to add to your suppliment diet. Healthy strong hair. :)

ur lucky u even have hair sum people have nun but nice video

  14. cosmochica24 says:

@modelchic413 i will have to do some research on this. id say anything that promises “split end mending” is not true since there is no way of “glueing” back together hair that is split. but i do think maybe it helps keep ends stronger so there is less splitting. i wil try and find this and test it out!

  15. modelchic413 says:

nexxus has a new line called promend that is supposed to help bind 96% of split ends together. Have you tried it? i know you say that they are a great line. Does this line just make your ends look healthy or does it actually help mend your ends???

  16. cosmochica24 says:

@GodhatesElise products i like are BigSexy, Biolage, Pureology, Bed head, S factor, Kpack, paul mitchell etc. go to your local beauty supply and take a look. find something that works for your hair, ifyou hair is thin stay away from heavy shampoo and conditioner. if ur scalp is dry look for somethig to help hydrate your scalp. take a look at your hair and see what it needs and choose from there.

  17. GodhatesElise says:

all my shampoos have cetyl alcohol in it! Do i have to search for other shampoos? and do you recommend something special. Nice vid, love ur hair.

  20. cosmochica24 says:

@CathylovesBieber im not too sure iknow that stuff isnt too horible for hair, but id say yes. you want a conditioner that just adds moisture and carries natural oils in it to help nourish your hair not dry it out. your hair should always feel soft and smooth not dry.

  21. CathylovesBieber says:

my shampoo (mane n tail ) doesnt have alcohol but my conditioner does so i stop usin the conditioner?

  22. cosmochica24 says:

@TheTara1980 you can but remember that watyou find at walmart/target/any drugstores are NOT guaranteed to be FRESH and work like it should. salons and beauty supply get products directly from vendors.

  23. cosmochica24 says:

@whitebearchika similar affects but different ingridients, the only other product thati think is right on is Morrocan Oil product.

  24. MsGigio81 says:
