Video sponsored by www.luvnaturals.com Hi, Everyone, here is my quarterly hair growth update. Again, there is no magic to it. The only thing I’ve done differently in ALL of my 14 years of being natural is handle my hair more gently, wash it on a weekly basis and wear protective styles. People ask the same questions, so I’m going to give you the same answers. Copyright © 2011 LUV Naturals Q) Did I have long hair as a child? A) No. Actually, I was bald-headed well into my toddler years. My hair is the longest it has ever been in my life. *I* did not know I could grow hair this long. Q) Do you TRIM your hair. And if so, how often? A) I trim off my weathered ends AND knots that I can’t undo. Yes, SOME knots can be undone! But it takes practice and knowledge of which knots are worth the bother. I don’t trim my hair “haphazardly”, as I’ve called it, but some people may find trimming their hair evenly without examining their ends to be the most realistic method considering their lifestyle. I have always tried to be upfront and honest about the amount of time I spend caring for my hair. Hair that is well maintained/preserved requires less trimming. If you seek to *maximize* your length retention, you MUST look at each and every strand. Sounds crazy & impossible, but that is what I do. Yes, it takes hours. I usually go through my twists and trim weathered ends & knots while in front of the TV.
) I do this as needed, that way, I can catch strands that I’ve missed. Since I’m …

@BurbujasDeAmor
I know, I know, I know all of this. What I want to know is does her experience really relate to people with regular black hair? But just forget it, please. I don’t want a whole debate on a simple question.
@Zisin2day Hair texture and hair growth/length have nothing to do with each other. It’s your genetics that determine the terminal length of your hair, not the looseness or tightness of ones curl/coil pattern. Please check out RusticBeauty, Sera2544 or mwedzi here on Youtube, these women have a tighter coil/curl pattern and all have waistlength+ hair. And no, Kim is not mixed.
@mrstoya25
I know that. I see it every day. I’m just making the point that it’s almost like false advertising if she has a different type of hair, then it won’ really relate to people with regular black hair, that’s alll.
All I asked was if it was RELATEABLE.
But nvm, I just wanted an answer from the one in the video herself. Nvm.
@Zisin2day I asked if the hair you was seeing was improperly cared for, not uncared for, and there IS a difference. I’m saying that hair that is being cared for, but improperly will not be in its best condition. I think you should look at some more photos on sites like fotki to see what I’m saying about well maintained hair on all textures of regular “black” hair. There are more ladies at or close to WL hair, myself included, than I care to count. It just seems like your lens is small…
@mrstoya25
Is that what you think black hair is? Uncared for? There is a difference between different textures and being unproperly cared for.
You aren’t reading what I asked at all…she has a different texture of hair, meaning that her hair isn’t tightly curled or as the mass may say, kinky, so I was wondering if that would affect the way we, as in most black people with the tightly cured hair, see her hair growth.
