..SALy’s mom, Linda ..school photo from 1975 (age 11)
..left-top: 300ppi unadjusted scan (and crop) from 3.5 x 5 inch print
..left-below: 800ppi scan adjusted for fade & tone ..not a good scan, but the best I could get ..cropped working copy was 2000×2800 pixel (400ppi)
..right: from adjusted scan, refreshed color, minor touchup, adjusted focus, light, contrast ..highlighted and color corrected eyes ..borrowed a bit of hair from the left to fix the washed out area on the bottom-right and had to correct several areas of hair that had bled red
..intended final product is a 4×6 framed print with matte
..software: Photoshop Elements-5 (and plugins) ..time for project: about 30 minutes
