The scarf I use is like a satiny polyester (I guess) but with all the oils in my hair it gets all over my pillows. Then my face eventually gets it so I begin to break out due to oil on my face. Is there anything I can do to prevent that at least the oil on my pillow part?

  8. brennaomi says:

you remind me of vanie0295 here on youtube. The hair is similar also.

  9. olexia07 says:

Hello Mae, I have been following your videos and I love your hair! I have been natural for 5 mos and have found my hair to be extremely dry any tips or products you recommend? I have products HH hello hydration, V05 moisture milk, coconut oil, olive oil, Miss Jessies Curly pudding, and Carol’s Daughter healthy hair butter. It just seems like I cannot keep it moisturized. What am I doing wrong?

  17. Nikkimae2003 says:

@cherryboboc Hi! I actually haven’t had my hair cut into a style since I’ve been natural. I’ve only received trims. This is just how it has naturally been growing.

  18. Odedephraim says:

    so nice

  19. sweetpbuttercup says:

  20. MrsCottonCurls says:

This winter I’ve been following this regimen:

Shampoo & deep condition every 2 weeks with Giovanni Tea Tree Shampoo or Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Shampoo. I use Giovanni Deep Moisture as a deep conditioner.
Co-Wash the other 2 weeks with Herbal Essence Hello Hydration or Tresemme Flawless Curls Conditioner.

Braidout with Giovanni Direct Leave-in & my own whipped shead butter & coconut oil mixture. I put a small perm rod on the end of my braids for an extra curly effect!Comes out great

  21. naturalbeautyisgood says:

Does anyone kno if it’s ok to use a hooded dryer one to two times a week? I find my hair not drying from the braidouts I do the day b4. Example I did a braidout and finished b4 6p. I woke up the next morning at 6a and my hair wasn’t fully dry. B4 the end of the day my hair was puffy/poofy. :(
I’m really trying to stick with this but it’s hard.

  22. periwaterfly says:

Hi! Great vid. LUV the braid out! Can’t wait for the tutorial:)

  23. kimaroo82 says:

when you do your braid outs and twist outs, do you blow dry your hair first or do you do it on wet/damp hair?

  24. cherryboboc says:

your hair shape is so beautiful.Where did you get it cut and what shape did you ask for? I really need a good stylist to shape my hair up too.

  25. shaneebabychick says:

Your hair is sooo pretty my new growth is that texture and very thick like yours…I’m trying to go natural its been rough alot of shedding I did a mini chop but I want to grow out my hair a lot more before I get the BC…Its been 2 months of no perm so far and I plan to ben all natural…No more creamy crack!!Lol

  26. OohLaLaHolly says:

@starangel031785 BC Dominicans come from Africa! They got hair like us!

  27. NatureDaughter says:

wow it look so pretty i wish i knew how to do a blow out like that cause it would be a perfect way i can clip my ends cause my hair is natural…

  28. 88948895611499 says:

this salon did a really good job on her hair. i really like it!

  29. churly93 says:

i love my dominican people, it is sad if a hair video can bring up racism. Oh well… some people’s minds are built within this wall, i think it’s called… ignorance. LOL.

Everyone on earth bleeds red and has a language of their own! That’s the beautiful thing about being a human, even though we’re different we’re alike.

  30. comauzo says:

    beautifully done

  31. NicoleFrank8907 says:

    amazing!!!

  32. ojthe3rd says:

    GREAT Job!! Fantastic!!!!!

  33. MandyCola says:

@latoriababyphat Why is is that after her hair has been straightened it is “pretty”? I don’t understand why black hair the way it grows from our heads can’t be referred to as “beautiful” or “pretty” until after it has been straightened?

  34. hannaxyz123 says:

@ecl411 most of the world doent despise black people.

for some unknown reason black ppl tend to be angry at the world and feel the need to be gainst the world, as stated by tupac the “black messiah”

and they tend to be a bit more aggressive than the rest of the ppl on our planet

i’d say, if u’re black and feel hated by the world… then fix up ur attitude! LIGHTEN UP!:)

  35. BeckyIsWanted says:

@industrynewz911 it stretches out the hair from the root to make the blow drying process easier. it would be pretty difficult to blow dry her hair from its natural state

  36. quinnie483 says:

Im live in colorado and there are no Dominican Salon here. So everytime Im in NYC the first thing I do is hit Harlem to get my blow. I pretty much have the technique down to do at home now but i am really in need of the HIGH HEAT BLOW DRYER! What is the best Brand to use to get the best results???? THANKS!!!!

  37. tdotmusiq says:

When My hair grows in I want this. What type of dryer is that?

  38. mondiea says:

what did the stylist put in her hair before she detangled it and wrapped it on the roller? I’ve been hearing a lot lately about how dominican salons will mix relaxer in their conditioner to make their clients’ hair easier to manage. I know her hair texture looks similar to mine and my hair NEVER lays down as easily as it did in the video.

  39. manticoreseriex10 says:

    Amazing Indeed.

  40. nakiel26 says:

@KoKoPecanButta22 Do what you want. If you can’t be with a man that loves you for you, then you are teaching your child the wrong thing. My husband met me when I cut my hair and went natural. Then I got a txt and had to cut it all off again. My husband doesn’t want me to get another perm ever. He thinks my hair is adorable and calls me his lil baby, cause he says that’s what it makes me look like. He just wants me to grow my hair and do it in a way that makes me happy. That’s LOVE!!!!!

  41. QueenJ247 says:

don’t know if you have already answered this… but where is this salon? My hair is a Mess!! Lol

  42. Halimahnatural says:

@TheMiraDemure That is one of the most ignorant statement. Yes she is black, so it would obvious that here would be of some kind of texture. People that are descents of Africa don’t just come out some cookie cutter that just have one texture of hair, African’s have all different type of textures and OMG even straight.

  43. blawaiiangirl79 says:

    AWESOME!!!

  44. janekadequay says:

    wow!

  45. Uniqu3neverway says:

wow thats not fair when i went they told me my hair was to curly to roller set. they had to blow mine out ….ur hair is way straighter than mine ..but i paid 30 dollars for a blow out but it came out HOT.. and so they know what they r doing 4 real

  46. Booties4YourCutie says:

@peechgurl Natural hair is not difficult if you comb your fingers through while shampooing, while rinsing, and comb the conditioner with a thick wide tooth comb.

  47. faqu529 says:

wow very pretty. if i did not have locks, i would definitely go to a dominican hair salon.

  48. faqu529 says:

@starangel031785 some of them have hair like us.

  49. peechgurl says:

@shanez89 most Dominican shops do charge extra for natural hair, just because its not as easy to do compared to relaxed hair. I don’t have that problem however because my hair is relaxed ha! oh. and this was not posted by the woman, it was posted by the salon!

  50. JSinuYasha says:

Amazing! How long to dominican blowout’s last on hair? a month?
