i have been noticing a HUGE clump of hair in the drains and parts that showed my scalp whenever i tied my hair this year, but i have been seeing my hair thinning since 2 years ago.
it got to the point where i went to my dermatologist and got shots that prevented hair loss and stressed regrowth. i noticed less hair in the drains but not any significant hair growth but it seemed like it was working. and when i went this week after skipping for a good 4 months because of my insurance, the doctor told me this: ” seeing from test results, your hair loss seems hereditary. there arent gonna be any results from getting painful shots every month. use rogaine for the rest of your life except when you are pregnant.”
i tried hiding my tears but ended up crying in the car.
im only fifteen and PLUS a girl.
i really want my hair back, but i dont know how to do so!
i get really depressed and stressed because of my hair loss and really desperate to find a solution!
my doctor recommended rogaine but like for all products, im doubting right now.
has anyone used it? and i was wondering about scalp med too.
& anyone know a good dermatologist in the new york city (5 boroughs) area???????? or hair specialists???
IM REALLY DESPERATE. NONE OF MY FRIENDS DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM AND UGH. i dont want too either.
please help me and recommend any products that have significant results. please. im dying to get my hair back.
(and has anyone heard of nanowell)
thanks in advance:)
and right now, the front of my head is really bad. the scalp is showing to a scary speed.
ANY SHAMPOOS OR TREATMENTS THAT I CAN USE??
btw, im using pantene for strong hair. and i tried bioken products,

Do you straighten your hair a lot? If you do, stop applying any heat to your hair. Try and take cooler showers, and maybe a special shampoo for damaged hair.
Also, you try a wig from Locks of Love, or a non- itchy wig made of real/ fake hair. Personally, if I were you, I’d just get a real hair wig.
Rogaine is what Elton John used. He went bald in his 20′s. He only had a little bit of implant surgery. Rogaine does work. At least you are a girl! You can find great wigs, and they last for years! There are so many varieties, don’t stress out! That is a major cause of hair loss! I know breathing lots of fresh oxygen, and massaging the scalp promotes growth as well, and hair, covered does not breathe so it won’t grow. In other words, Breathe as much fresh oxygen as you can, massage your head often, and only cover it when you need to. Good luck!
if you have dyed your hair a lot in the past that could be a reason.
I have the same problem and I’m 17 years old. I’ve been using a shampoo called Nioxin which prevents hair loss. It’s slowing down my hair loss but it’s something I get from my dad’s side and since it’s genetic, it’s hard to prevent.
My boyfriend’s mom recommended Nioxin because her husband used it when he began to bald. He isn’t bald now, but he isn’t growing back hair.
I hope this helps! :]
Nioxin shampoo & cond is good, but a bit pricey, buy at Trade Secret & salons. ~ I started losing my hair at about age 25. Many years later I learned that I’m gluten intolerant. (it’s in wheat, rye & barley) When I stopped eating gluten, I stopped losing my hair. I’m seeing a little regrowth coming in finally. Too little fat &/or protein can also cause hair loss. It could be so many things, but I would start looking at my diet first. Good luck.
