How To Make and Apply a Soothing Natural Remedy for Itchy Scalp, Dry Scalp to Relieve and Heal Scalp Conditions. Step by step instruction video.

Well it’s been about 6 months of using this remedy on a daily basis and I have to report… a partial success.
It is GREAT for stopping the itching. It does definitely help with that. HOWEVER, it does NOTHING for flaking, which I found disappointing. In fact, if I just use the spray without the hair cream that I use and a dandruff shampoo, then the flaking is AWFUL.
I think that this remedy is good when used in conjunction with other shampoos and products, but it does NOT stand alone.
@PenguinDood Same here.
I have dreads and my scalp started to itch around fall of last year. Its really pissing me off when I have to itch it. Is there an simple way to cure this problem?
That was helpful.
@PenguinDood I’m no expert but this is what works for me, whisk an egg, add to it the same volume of a good quality oil (i use a mix of jojoba and mustard oil in a 1:1 ratio) , then add to that egg and oil mixture, twice the volume of yogurt. massage it onto your scalp and leave it for an hour. then wash. its the only thing that soothes the crazy itching and works for me.
Was anyone else scratching their head when they were watching this?
Scalp psoriasis and seborrhea dermatitis of the scalp can be difficult to tell apart. They share similar symptoms as itchy, red, scaly skin. usually the scales of psoriasis are thicker and drier in appearance than the scales of seborrhea dermatitis.if you have scalp psoriasis, you might have mild psoriasis on your elbows, knees, hands or feet or may notice subtle nail changes. The american Institute of advanced medicine has your solution. theaiam.com
Plz some 1 help I have a very itchy scalp but my hair gets greasy to quick any help welcomed
What if you’re allergic to tea tree? The use of tea tree is all over the place, you can’t escape it….
What about peppermint or winter balm? I’ve used a rosemary and mint shampoo to calm the itchiness.
i started having dandruff and itchy scalp about a year ago so i bought some Head and Shoulder. it went away fine so i just kept using it. its been about a year now and its coming back now. wut should i do?
btw i have been using head and shoulders practically everyday for the past year
@massingstone
The daily washing may be your problem. Overwashing your hair can irritate the scalp as underwashing it can. It could also be a matter of PH unbalance. What products do you use?
Just to add to my following below comment, both soaps I was recommended which have stopped my scalp from being itchy – Crusader Medicated Soap and Dudu Osun soap cost about £1 each from black hair and cosmetic shops in London, UK where I live. The Dudu Osun soap is not too common and will be found in black neigbourhoods exclusively. Crusader is very common and in 99% of black hair and cream shops. I would recommend them to people here and let me know your feedback. Good luck.
@omgELIZABETHHH, No the barbers dont wash my hair. It is just cut, shaped (edge up to those in the US/Canada) and then I go home where I bath as I have hair all over myself. My hair is no longer itchy after being cut as I am using two products I was recommended. I use an African (Nigerian) soap called Crusader. It is black in colour. Google Crusader medicated soap. I use it daily as a shampoo & soa body soap. I’ve also got another one called Dudu Osun. Also an African soap recommended to me.
@massingstone Do they wash your hair? Maybe the stuff they use to wash it is drying to your scalp.
@raluca152002 Please try again, but make it 8-10 drops of tea tree and not the 6 which Mia suggests. You may have a bacterial infection so need to kill it, and the tea tree is key to doing just this.
dr lorenzo scalp balance is the best
I don’t know if I should put my comment on her as a black guy but I will as somebody might provide a solution. I am a black guy who generally has my hair low buy its gets extremely itchy following a hair cut. I can’t understand why this occurs. I am very clean – I wash my hair daily though and all the clippers at the barbers are sterialised before they go on my head. Any ideas why this happens and any solutions?
@ PenguinDood. If this doesn’t help try Scalpacin. I had this problem but it was from a hive problem but it drove me insane. My husband is a firefighter and when they are finished training or putting out a fire, they get this same thing (they call it helmet head). I tried this remedy and loved it but because it was really hive related I had to take a big fat allegra pill prescribed by my allergist and then used Scalpacin. One year later I am much, much better. Good luck.
I have been suffering from this for nearly 8 mothns now. I think beer and peanuts make my scalp ithcy. I will immediately stop consuming these two and see the results. It is good that I am alergic to alcoholic drinks so that I can totally give them up.
@raluca152002 Try 2 tbsp Coconut Oil (natural Anti-Fungal properties), 10-15 drops of Tea Tree Oil (natural anti-bacterial), 1/2 tbsp shavings from a Sulphur Bar of Soap (natural antiseptic and antibacterial) and 4 tbsp of water. Shake in container to make the soap dissolve. Apply to scalp, saturate and let sit for 15 minutes. Wash out in luke warm to cool water with mild shampoo (hot water seems to cause flakes believe it or not).
My favorite itchy scalp shampoo and conditioner are made by TheraNeem by Organics South. I noticed that my itching lessened. Also, I make my own oils and this mixture does work, but I think diluting it with water lessens the potency. When I mix these oils with almond oil the mixture stops my itching. You can also use jojoba oil instead of using almond oil b/c jojoba helps to maintain your scalp’s natural balance of sebum.
I’ve tried that. It’s not working for me. Wish it had.
hopefully this works, my son’s scalp is so itchy, he usually smells like a salad, i have used vinigar, olive oil, lemon, henna. I have tried everything. the doctor says his allergies make his scalp itch.
Very helpful! I’m going to try it! Your approach is very innovative and fresh!
you can use a dry shampoo like herbal cleanse from organic root stimulator until you can start washin ur hair
