Auburn IL – Gerry’s Barber Shop (7 of 10)

At the back of the shop is a display cabinet for hair-care products available for purchase. Also note how the customer sitting in the chair can not only see himself in the mirror, but can also watch a small TV placed in nook high on the shop’s back wall. Gerry is a talker, however, and loves to engage his customers in conversation. In other words, I doubt if much television is actually being watched.

Auburn is a city in Sangamon County located off Illinois Route 4 about 16 miles SSW of Springfield. The population was 4,317 at the 2000 census.
