Question by rissa: Can weight/ muscle building supplements increase hair loss in men?
I feel bad because my brother at 20 years old says hes losing more and more hair even though he uses rogaine and nioxin shampoo that helps thicken thining hair. Something occured to me recently..he is avidly into weight lifting these days and takes all kinds of supplements, some of which may increase testosterone. Of course I’ve heard just weight lifting in itself increases testosterone too. Could this be a possible culprit to his hair loss? Thanks in advance

From digging around in and learning more myself, as a sufferer of hair loss, it has more to do with genes and a missing chemical that blocks another chemical which stops hair growth. Confusing but true
