Twisting on Dry Natural Hair!

March 9, 2011 by

The first step was that I blow dried my hair with a Yellow Bird dryer which I purchased from Sally Beauty. Products Mentioned: 1. Jessicurl- Too Shea Conditioner 2. Kinky Curly-Knot Today Leave In 3. Oyin Handmade- Whipped Pudding and Burnt Sugar Pomade- 4. Bio Silk- Silk Therapy Heat Protectant 5. Let’s Jam-Straitening Creme 6. Karen’s Body Beautiful Hair Creme and Hair Milk- www.karensbodybeautiful.com Add me as a friend on Facebook: www.facebook.com Name: Nina Ellis-Hervey Also on twitter: twitter.com

This is a how i did a wash and go by layering EcoStyler Olive oil gel on top of Suave Naturals Refreshing Tangerine Conditioner. Background music created by “the Boy” I’d give the conditioner 2/5 as a conditioner for cowashes but 4/5 as a leave in under the gel….it made the detangling process after 4 days very easy. click here to see how i hang my earrings! : www.youtube.com

Your hair is beautiful. I’ve been growing my natural hair since Nov. 1, 2010. It’s grown a inch and it’s especially long in the back. I thank you for your post because I need all the help I can get to remember how to take care of my natural hair, lol.

When I come back from my vacation next week, I’m going to do this to my hair. I did my BC in September so I’m still learning care and learning styles because now my hair isn’t as short as it was when I first started out. I wondered why would anyone ask if your hair breaks off in this style? Is it because of how long you keep them that that would be a concern I should look out for or something else? I’m thinking I’m gonna go from a chronic 2 strand twistout-er to this style. I need a change!

To be honest, your braided hair was cute, however I liked your hair more before it was braided, I don’t know, I think I liked the volume a lot :)

I have a question I been going natural for two years I think i am ready for the big chop now

  24. PorkChopMissPiggy says:

I never knew what black girls did with their hair. It’s funny that her hair can even be twisted like that and stay that way without hair ties. Also why does her hair puff out so much and isn’t it kind of strange that she would oil her hair everyday. Sometimes I’ll walk past a black girl, a pretty black girl, but they all smell the same. Now I think the smell comes from their hair.
