Hair loss does not run in the family especially not from ages 21 to 28. Hair has been thinning out since the age of 21 and stress is not an issue.

      nothing but two reasons
one is genetical. you cannot change
other is the environment . bad water,(salt water),over usage of chemicals, shampoo etc

Malnutrition, chemicals or just thinning hair.

It could be a vitamin issue, I would consult a nutritionist.

This has happened to me. She should get a blood test done to see if it may be her thyroid or even iron deficiency. Telogen Effluvian is the diagnostic name that encompases such hair loss.
I purchased some nice headbands that expand to cover the whole head so to disguise the patchy hair loss as it happened.

Anemia. You may want to consider going to the doctor soon to get bloodwork (including a ferritin test) done, especially considering that each hair you lose will take a long time to grow back. May sound like a simple solution, but it would be worth it to find out from a doctor how to take care of this problem and push it out of your life for good. Good luck.

She should have her thyroid checked.
