If it’s male pattern baldness: propecia (or proscar cut into 4) once a day. It messes with your hormones, though Beware of side effects.

Daily application of refined coconut oil, mixed with lime juice on the hair, prevents hair loss and lengthens it. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

The first step in determining how to prevent hair loss is to determine the cause. For men, the most common reason is androgenic alopecia (or male pattern baldness). For women, there is no most common cause and a thorough workup is necessary. Even for some men, there may be a medical cause for the hair loss and a full work up by a dermatologist or hair restoration surgeon is necessary. Correcting the medical cause can often correct the hair loss.
For people suffering from androgenic alopecia, currently there are two medications approved by the FDA for treatment – finasteride and minoxidil (tradenames Rogaine and Propecia). Rogaine is a topical medication and Propecia is a pill. Both of these medications will not regrow hair follicles which are dead but will help to prevent or slow further hair loss.
As always, a medical evaluation by a trained professional is the key to starting treatment.

If your head feels itchy than your DHT levels are probably high, DHT levels play a huge role in Hair Loss for most men, you can check with a doctor to see if your DHT levels are high.
