When does it start to be hair loss?

When does the normal flow of hair fall (said by popular media to be around 100 a day) crosses the line into hair loss?
Been noticing large amounts of hair but I think it’s deceptive because I grew long hair, as opposed to a couple of years ago having it short.

      Hello,

If you start noticing more than 100 hairs a day, with noticeable chunks of hair coming out easily then you may be crossing over into the realm of serious hair loss versus normal, daily shedding. However, if you’re seriously concerned and would like an expert opinion before making any major decisions, I’d suggest scheduling a free consultation with a Bosley physician at one of our many regional offices (all listed on our website).

Our people are hair loss experts who can diagnose the specific cause of your case & recommend appropriate treatment options, if necessary. Best of all, the consults are conducted free of charge so at the very least you receive the information you need to move forward in addressing your problem (if there is indeed one) without having to spend a dime for it. Best of luck to you
